Nicke Widyawati and Former Oil and Gas Director-General to Testify in Crude Oil Trial Tomorrow
JAKARTA - Former President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, is set to be examined as a witness in the continuation of the trial for the alleged corruption case regarding the governance of crude oil and refinery products at PT Pertamina on Wednesday (1/4/2026).
“There is Nicke’s name on the list of witnesses whose statements will be heard tomorrow,” stated the Director of Prosecution at the Attorney General’s Office, Riono Budisantoso, when confirmed by Kompas.com on Tuesday (31/3/2026).
Nicke is scheduled to provide her statement for the defendant Director of Marketing and Commerce at PT Pertamina Persero from April 2012-2014, Hanung Budya Yuktyanta, former VP of Supply and Distribution at PT Pertamina (Persero), Alfian Nasution, and several other defendants.
Previously, Nicke had been examined in the Pertamina corruption case on 20 January 2026.
At that time, Nicke was questioned for nine defendants in the first cluster, one of whom was the Beneficial Owner of PT Orbit Terminal Merak, Muhamad Kerry Adrianto Riza.
During the examination, Nicke once remarked that the tasks of Indonesian state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) might be the most complex in the world.
“So, perhaps in the entire world, only Indonesian BUMNs have such a very complex mission like this. But we carry it out,” Nicke said during the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday (20/1/2026).
This is because Pertamina is the only state-owned company managing oil and gas (migas) from upstream to downstream.
The case involving Alfian Nasution and Hanung Budya Yuktyanta is still part of the same series as the previous case file, namely from the case of the Beneficial Owner of PT OTM and PT JMN, Muhamad Kerry Adrianto Riza and associates.
The leasing project for the oil fuel terminal owned by PT OTM caused state financial losses amounting to Rp 2.9 trillion.
Muhamad Kerry Adrianto Riza has been found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison with a fine of Rp 1 billion subsidiary 190 days. Plus, restitution of Rp 2.9 trillion subsidiary 5 years in prison.
Commissioner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa as well as Commissioner of PT JMN, Dimas Werhaspati; and Commissioner of PT JMN and President Director of PT OTM, Gading Ramadhan Joedo, were each sentenced to 13 years in prison with a fine of Rp 1 billion subsidiary 190 days in prison.
The defendants are believed to have caused state financial losses amounting to Rp 25,439,881,674,368.30 or Rp 25.4 trillion and 2,732,816,820.63 US dollars or 2.7 billion US dollars.
