Nick Faldo to auction clubs

JAKARTA (JP): Golfers wishing to own clubs use by world top player Nick Faldo may try their luck Thursday when the Cikarang Golf and Country Club hosts a cocktail party to honor the Englishman.

The 6,850-yard 18-hole layout located some 45kms northeast of the capital was designed by Faldo, who unfortunately was disqualified at the Alfred Dunhill Masters in Bali on Sunday. He was here yesterday to inspect the golf link.

"I really want to see the layout meet international requirements," said Faldo, before flying back to Bali where he will stay until Wednesday.

The party is scheduled to be held at the Grand Hyatt on Thursday, where a few sets of his clubs will be auctioned. (rsl).
