Ngurah Rai Immigration Opens 'Pasporia' Service to Ease Public Access

The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung Regency, Bali, has opened an out-of-office service called Paspor Minggu Ceria (Pasporia) to provide easier access for both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals. “We want to deliver immigration services that are closer, easily accessible, and provide a comfortable experience for the public,” said Head of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Bugie Kurniawan in Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, on Saturday. The service was set up in the parking area of Kuta Art Market, Badung Regency, as part of a Public Service Bazaar organised by the Bali High Prosecutor’s Office on Saturday. The office provided immigration services including applications for Indonesian passports and immigration stay permits. A total of 29 passport applications were processed, along with two immigration stay permit applications. “The entire process, from document checks to other service stages, is carried out in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures to ensure the quality of service to the public,” he said. Meanwhile, during the January to May 2026 period, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office deported 155 foreign nationals, detained 122, and blacklisted 139 individuals. The majority of cases involved violations of legal regulations and overstaying, with the most affected foreign nationals coming from India (19), the United States (16), and Russia (15). On the other hand, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office has issued a total of 5,517 new passports and processed 5,487 visit stay permit extensions. Additionally, there were 34 issuances of limited stay permits (Itas), 1,694 conversions of visit stay permits to Itas, and 163 conversions of Itas to permanent stay permits (Itap). Furthermore, extensions of visit stay permits for Visa on Arrival (VoA) reached 27,744 permits, Itas extensions totalled 2,749, Itap extensions numbered 63, and 931 exit permits were issued.
