Ngurah Rai Airport Serves 1.14 Million Passengers During 2026 Lebaran Transport Post

Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali served 1.14 million passengers during the 18-day implementation of the 2026 Lebaran Transport Post. The data covers the period from 13 to 30 March 2026. General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Nugroho Jati, revealed that this figure consists of 503,000 domestic route passengers and 639,000 international passengers. This number grew by 1% compared to the same period in 2025, which recorded 1.13 million passengers. “During the 2026 Lebaran Transport Post period, flight operations and airport activities ran safely, orderly, and conducive. We recorded an increase in passenger and aircraft movements that could still be well accommodated thanks to the synergy of all parties,” Nugroho stated in his remarks on Tuesday (30/3/2026). Ngurah Rai Airport also recorded 6,927 aircraft movements during that period. This figure grew by 3% compared to the 2025 Lebaran transport’s 6,734 aircraft movements. The peak passenger movement before Eid al-Fitr occurred on Wednesday, 18 March (H-3 Lebaran) with 71,442 passengers served. Meanwhile, the peak post-Eid al-Fitr passenger movement occurred on Monday, 23 March (H+1 Lebaran) with 72,139 passengers. This number also became the highest throughout the 2026 Lebaran transport. The most popular domestic route was Tangerang (CGK) with a total of 1,400 aircraft movements. Followed by Surabaya (SUB) with 495 aircraft movements and Lombok (LOP) with 341 aircraft movements. For international routes, Singapore (SIN) was the route with the most aircraft movements at 538. Followed by Kuala Lumpur (KUL) with 464 aircraft movements, and Perth (PER) with 377 aircraft movements. The aircraft movement figures include additional flights (extra flights) totalling 272 movements. Routes with the most realised extra flights include Tangerang (CGK) with 134 aircraft movements.
