PT Hongsen Chemical New Materials, a company operating in the chemical sector, lubricants, and chemical materials such as glues/adhesives, has officially received permission for bonded zone facilities from the East Java II Customs Region Office on Tuesday (28/4/2026). Prior to obtaining this permission, the company located in Ngawi, East Java, had to submit an application and conduct a presentation of its business processes to the officials of the East Java II Customs Region Office. According to the Head of the East Java II Customs Region Office, Muhamad Lukman, this stage must be undergone by the company to provide an overview of the business processes to be carried out and their economic impact, as consideration in the decision-making for granting bonded zone facility permission. “We granted this bonded zone facility permission after going through monitoring and evaluation,” he stated in a comment on Monday (4/5/2026). Lukman explained that the provision of bonded zone facilities aims to support ease of doing business and improve services as well as supervision in accordance with the role of Customs as a trade facilitator and industrial assistance. The bonded zone becomes an important instrument in increasing logistics efficiency and the competitiveness of Indonesian products in the global market. In addition, this policy is also expected to attract new investment interest and expand employment opportunities. “We hope that this facility can be optimally utilised by the company to support its industrial activities, and such utilisation must always be carried out in accordance with the applicable provisions,” Lukman concluded.
