Ngabuburit at Blok M Hub: Challenges with New Phone Prizes and Musical Entertainment
The Blok M area continues to be a favourite spot for Jakarta residents to spend time before breaking their fast. Taking advantage of this momentum, smartphone manufacturer itel organised a series of interactive events titled “Misi Ngabuburit Mencari Siti” at Blok M Hub on Wednesday (25/2).
This event offers a different ‘ngabuburit’ experience, combining traditional entertainment with interactive activities in the middle of the city’s hustle and bustle.
One of the main attractions of this event is the presence of Aldi Taher, who invites visitors to sing together while waiting for the Maghrib call to prayer. The relaxed Ramadan atmosphere is further enhanced by the distribution of free snacks to people at the location.
Facilities are available for visitors who want to try out the features of the City 200, such as the 120Hz screen, 50MP camera, and device durability specifications.
As part of the launch campaign, itel also conducted mobile activations using specially branded trucks. These trucks will tour the Jakarta area on the same date.
Marketing Manager of itel Indonesia, Geza Febriandi, explained that the trucks also function as mobile studios for exclusive live shopping sessions. Through this scheme, people can see product demonstrations live through digital platforms while interacting with the host at the location.
As a complement to the offline experience, itel has scheduled exclusive sales through TikTok Shop during the upcoming 3.3 promotional period. This approach is an effort by the company to integrate direct interactions in the field with the convenience of digital transactions.
Through an approach that is closer to the daily lives of young people in Jakarta, this event aims to combine the tradition of ‘ngabuburit’ with current digital lifestyle trends.
