A seminar on the sharia capital market titled NGABUBU-RICH was held at the Djazman Auditorium, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), on Monday, 2 February 2026. It was organised by the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Capital Market Study Group (KSPM) at Pabelan-online.com, UMS. The discussion featured Ari Seta Kurniawan, Deputy Head of the Jawa Tengah 2 Regional Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), and Alif Rahman Aviecin, Senior Investment Specialist at Mirae Asset Sekuritas. Ari Seta Kurniawan explained that the capital market is a platform where companies offering investment products are matched with investors who buy the instruments to earn profits. The sellers are listed companies or those seeking to have their products traded on the market, while the buyers are investors aiming to make profits. Instruments traded include stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. In practice, all capital market activities in Indonesia are guided by Law Number 8 of 1995 as the main legal basis. Ari also noted that sharia capital market refers to products and activities that do not conflict with sharia principles, in terms of business type and corporate financial structure. Meanwhile Alif Rahman Aviecin explained the basic concepts of the sharia capital market and the importance of understanding sharia principles in investing so that economic activity remains compliant with applicable provisions. Alif stressed that financial literacy among students should be developed from an early stage so the younger generation does not become merely consumers but also investors. Understanding stocks, bonds, and Shariah mutual funds can be a crucial foundation for future financial planning and business development. One participant, Novia Dinda Safitri from the Management Study Programme, said she attended to learn more about the capital market and to gain knowledge that could be applied in business. She also expressed happiness at understanding sharia capital market material that she had previously not grasped, even while fasting. ‘Don’t miss seminars, because by attending we can broaden our knowledge and insights, especially regarding Indonesia’s sharia capital market,’ she said on Monday, 2 February 2026.
