Nezar stresses spirit of Qurban manifested through public service
Jakarta - Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Nezar Patria stressed that the spirit of Qurban is not only manifested through annual worship but also through integrity, discipline, and public service by civil servants.
“Through the sacrificial animal distribution activity, the spirit of mutual cooperation and social care must remain vibrant and flourish within the Ministry of Communications and Digital,” Nezar said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He made the remarks during a symbolic Qurban animal handover ceremony for Eid al-Adha 1447 H at the Ministry of Communications and Digital headquarters in Central Jakarta on Monday (25 May).
Nezar considered mutual cooperation and social care as crucial foundations for building a harmonious, collaborative, and humanistic work culture, while also being oriented towards public welfare.
“In our workplace, the noble values of Qurban worship can be manifested through high discipline, responsibility for every task, and willingness to prioritise national interests over personal or sectoral interests,” he said.
Meanwhile, Digital Government Technology Director General Mira Tayyiba explained that this year’s Ministry of Communications and Digital Qurban was made possible through the participation of unit leaders and staff who successfully gathered around 10 sacrificial cows.
“This event was made possible thanks to support and participation from various parties, enabling us to collect approximately 10 cows. The sacrificial animals came from the contributions of unit leaders and staff within the Communications and Digital Ministry,” Mira said.
She stated that the slaughtering process is scheduled for 30 May, with the meat to be distributed on 2 June to beneficiaries.
“1,751 beneficiaries will receive the Qurban meat distribution, including Grade I and II civil servants, PPPK Grades V and VII, contract workers, security guards, cleaning staff, drivers, outsourced personnel, and social foundations such as Wijaya Kusuma Old People’s Home and Annuriyah Orphanage,” she said.
Mira added that the Eid al-Adha 1447 H Qurban event aims to enhance communal spirit, social solidarity, and dedication to the public to support more humanistic and far-reaching public services.
