Reports of elementary school students committing suicide makes
me wonder why some children take their own lives over trivial
matters.

One of the factors causing such misfortune can be attributed
to acts of violence and films depicting vulgar and brutal scenes.
These programs are in fact not fit for children and can affect
their behavior.

Though most parents have tried to help their children choose
and watch the right entertainment, they cannot fully control the
youngsters because of limited time. In this case the government
should assume the control function to guarantee the future of
Indonesian children, whose characters are corrupted by such
programs.

Therefore, prior to TV broadcasting, the government should
censor many of the shows.
