The Patra Kuningan 2 TransJakarta bus stop, which was recently revitalised, has become a target of vandalism. Several parts of the bus stop were defaced by irresponsible individuals. The act of vandalism went viral on social media. Based on an Instagram post seen on Friday (26/6/2026), black spray-paint markings have marred the aesthetics of the bus stop. Responding to the incident, TransJakarta’s Head of Public Relations and CSR, Ayu Wardhani, expressed regret over the act of destruction. She stressed that the bus stop is a facility built to serve the mobility needs of citizens. ‘It is deeply regrettable that this public facility has become a target of vandalism by irresponsible individuals,’ Ayu said when contacted on Friday (26/6/2026). Ayu reminded the public that the TransJakarta bus stop is a shared asset that must be protected by the entire community. According to her, maintaining public facilities is not solely the government’s duty but also the responsibility of every citizen. ‘The TransJakarta bus stop belongs to all of us, built to serve the public. We urge the community to help look after it. Maintaining public facilities is our collective responsibility,’ she stated. Vandalism of public facilities is not a new occurrence in Jakarta. The government and transport operators continue to appeal to the public to take care of public amenities for the comfort of all and to avoid financial losses incurred from state-funded repairs.
