Newcrest pours 1st RI gold

MELBOURNE (Dow Jones): Australia's Newcrest Mining Ltd. said
Monday it poured its first gold from the Gosowong project in
Indonesia Sunday.

Newcrest owns 82.5 percent of the mine, and PT Aneka Tambang
holds the remaining 17.5 percent

The plant is expected to be at full capacity by the end of
September, the Australian company said.

"Construction and startup have been achieved on time and
within the US$61 million budget," Newcrest noted.
