Cryptocurrency and Web3 exchange OKX has announced that Intercontinental Exchange Inc., the operator of the New York Stock Exchange, has made a strategic investment valuing the company at US$25 billion (IDR 423.5 trillion).

The OKX and ICE partnership forms part of a broader initiative to integrate traditional capital markets infrastructure with the speed and accessibility of blockchain technology. The agreement encompasses four key pillars:

  1. Tokenised US Shares on OKX: OKX users will gain access to tokenised shares and derivatives listed on the NYSE, with a planned launch in the second half of 2026.

  2. OKX Cryptocurrency Prices for ICE Futures: ICE will licence OKX cryptocurrency spot prices directly to support new cryptocurrency asset futures products.

  3. Clearing and Risk Management: Joint development of clearing and risk management solutions meeting institutional standards.

  4. Multi-Chain Custody Architecture and Digital Wallet: Collaboration on developing multi-chain custody infrastructure and next-generation wallet systems.

Beyond these four pillars, ICE will also hold a seat on OKX’s board of directors. This landmark investment reflects strong confidence in the digital asset market from one of the world’s most influential financial infrastructure companies.

Jeffrey C Sprecher, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of ICE, stated that the strategic relationship with OKX will expand global retail access to ICE’s leading regulated markets and accelerate plans to offer on-chain infrastructure and tokenised assets to United States investors.

“The investment in OKX is part of our broader strategic push into blockchain-based financial infrastructure,” he said.

Star Xu, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OKX, described the partnership as bringing together two high-performance matching engines and transparent order books to help build a more reliable market structure.

“We are bridging digital assets and equities, strengthening cross-market price formation, and meeting institutional standards for risk management and compliance,” he explained.
