Civil servants (ASN) in Jakarta now have new regulations regarding daily uniforms. This new policy is governed by Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 4 of 2026 on ASN Uniforms.

Daily Duty Uniform (PDH) Schedule for Jakarta ASN

  • Wednesday: White shirt PDH with black fabric bottoms

  • Thursday: Batik/weave/lurik (national)

  • Friday: Betawi-specific PDH

New PDH Regulations for Jakarta ASN

Monday-Tuesday: Khaki PDH

  • Khaki PDH consists of:

  1. Khaki PDH long-sleeve or short-sleeve shirts used by high-level middle managers and high-level primary managers; and

  2. Khaki PDH short-sleeve shirts used by administrators, supervisors, implementers, and functional officials, except for female ASN wearing hijabs.

  • Khaki PDH is used on Mondays and Tuesdays.

  • For male ASN in administrative, supervisory, implementer, and functional positions, short-sleeve khaki PDH shirts must be tucked into trousers.

Wednesday: White shirt PDH with black fabric bottoms

  • White shirt PDH consists of:

  1. White long-sleeve or short-sleeve shirts used by high-level middle managers and high-level primary managers;

  2. White short-sleeve shirts used by administrators, supervisors, implementers, and functional officials, except for female ASN wearing hijabs; and

  3. White shirt PDH with long black fabric trousers for men and black fabric skirts/trousers for women.

  • White long-sleeve PDH shirts may be used for attending state and official events.

  • For male ASN in administrative, supervisory, implementer, and functional positions, short-sleeve white PDH shirts must be tucked into trousers.

  • White shirt PDH is used on Wednesdays.

Thursday: Batik/weave/lurik (national)

  • Batik/weave/lurik PDH is used by ASN on Thursdays, and on National Batik Day every 2 October.

  • Batik/weave/lurik PDH with Betawi-specific motifs is used by ASN on the second Thursday of every month.

Friday: Betawi-specific PDH

  • Betawi regional PDH consists of:

  1. Betawi regional sadariah PDH; and

  2. Betawi regional kerancang kebaya PDH.

  • Betawi regional sadariah PDH is worn by men, consisting of:

  1. Long-sleeve sadariah shirt with Shanghai collar, internal buttons, left upper patch pocket, and left and right lower side pockets;

  2. Long black fabric trousers;

  3. Neatly folded sarong cloth or cukin; and

  4. Plain black national peci cap.

  • Betawi regional kerancang kebaya PDH is worn by women, consisting of:

  1. Kerancang kebaya with kerancang embroidery, front tapering downwards or sondai; and

  2. Betawi-specific patterned cloth reaching above the ankles and covering the calves, or loose long trousers (culottes) with front covered by Betawi-specific cloth.

  • Betawi regional sadariah PDH and Betawi regional kerancang kebaya PDH are used by ASN on Fridays, as well as on regional anniversary days, cultural days, and major holidays in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
