New Trouble for Office Workers, Lives Becoming More Pressured
The world of work is already full of pressures due to companies’ increasingly ambitious efforts to boost productivity. In the future, employees will likely face even more stress as AI technology begins to dominate. In fact, AI could transform into a boss with micromanaging tendencies. This was revealed by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. He stated that AI will make employees busier and ‘stick’ to them all the time. “AI agents will interrupt you, micromanage you, and keep you busier than ever before,” said Huang during a discussion at Stanford University, quoted from Futurism, Thursday (24/4/2026). However, this also means more things that can be worked on. Ultimately, it will create more job opportunities. This picture differs somewhat from the narrative about AI being the reason for layoffs in many companies and people losing jobs. “There will be more people working at the end of this industrial revolution than at the beginning,” he said. Huang expressed a similar view earlier this year. He called company leaders shortsighted if they want to reduce staff numbers because of AI. He emphasised that companies will need more resources with the presence of AI. “For companies with imagination, you will do many things with more resources,” said Huang.
