New Transjabodetabek Route Blok M–Soetta Airport Launched with 23 Bus Stops

JAKARTA — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin officially inaugurated the new Transjabodetabek SH2 route connecting Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at the Blok M Terminal in South Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

According to Ujang, Deputy Head of the Jakarta Department of Transportation, the route spans approximately 65.1 kilometres with an estimated round-trip journey time of approximately 121 minutes. The route includes 13 bus stops within Jakarta and 10 stops outside the capital.

The Jakarta Provincial Government has set an introductory fare of Rp 3,500 for the first three months of operation, particularly to accommodate the Eid al-Fitr period. “After that, we will conduct an evaluation,” said Pramono. He explained that following the evaluation period, the fare will likely be adjusted due to substantial subsidy burden, with the anticipated range being between Rp 10,000 and Rp 15,000.

In the initial phase, the service will operate with 14 buses serving passengers from 05:00 to 22:00 WIB. Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin welcomed the launch of the new route, describing the Transjabodetabek service as important for the mobility of Tangerang residents who work in Jakarta. He noted that Tangerang has approximately 2 million residents, with the majority commuting to Jakarta during the day.

Sachrudin highlighted that Tangerang’s territory serves as a major transit corridor, encompassing the Jakarta-Merak toll road, access to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, and national roads including Daan Mogot Road and Gatot Subroto Road. “Hopefully, this Transjabodetabek route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport can help reduce traffic congestion at several points, both in Jakarta and Tangerang,” he stated.
