PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI), part of a joint operation, is accelerating work on the Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road Package 2A, with construction progress reaching 84 percent as of the end of June 2026. The company is currently focusing on major tasks, including rigid pavement work on the main road in Zones 3 and 4. HKI Corporate Secretary Resnu Aditya Wuladarman stated that the company is also preparing structural works, a critical phase in the project’s completion. One of the more challenging tasks involves girder installation in an area that intersects with the already operational Cimanggis-Cibitung Tollways, requiring intensive coordination with various stakeholders due to the high-risk environment and active traffic. Of the total 24 girder spans, four remain to be completed on Ramps 3, 5, and 1, with the highest point on Ramp 1 reaching approximately 28 metres. Resnu added that the work is being carried out with a strong emphasis on occupational safety, technical supervision, and traffic engineering to ensure construction proceeds safely and under control. The Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road is expected to strengthen connectivity, supporting public mobility and logistics distribution in the Jakarta and West Java regions. It will serve as a vital alternative route to improve accessibility and reduce traffic loads on the main Jakarta-Cikampek corridor, a key national strategic route. The entire project is targeted for completion by 2027, connecting Sadang in Purwakarta with Jatiasih in Bekasi over a length of 62 km, thereby significantly reducing travel time to Bandung.
