New Telkomsel Board of Commissioners Structure: Yusuf Ateh Joins Supervisory Board
PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) has a new Board of Commissioners structure after shareholders appointed Muhammad Yusuf Ateh as a Commissioner of the company. This decision was finalised by Telkomsel’s shareholders, namely PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte. Ltd., on 29 May 2026 and will become effective from 1 June 2026.
With the inclusion of Yusuf Ateh, the composition of Telkomsel’s Board of Commissioners is now updated accordingly. Abdullah Fahmi, Telkomsel’s VP of Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility, stated that aside from the appointment of Yusuf Ateh, there are no other changes to the Telkomsel Board of Commissioners or the Board of Directors.
Muhammad Yusuf Ateh is a government official currently serving as the Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). Prior to leading BPKP, Ateh held several positions within the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenpanRB). He was also involved with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) during the agency’s early formation period.
In February 2020, President Joko Widodo inaugurated Ateh as the Head of BPKP. He was subsequently reappointed to the same position by President Prabowo Subianto on 19 February 2025.
Looking ahead, Telkomsel stated that it will continue its investment in 5G networks, expand convergence services and digital solutions, and increase the utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to support business growth and national digital transformation.
