New Tax and Customs Officials Inaugurated, Suahasil: A Continuation of Previous Processes
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Finance Minister Suahasting Nazara has officially inaugurated 14 new officials within the Ministry of Finance, spanning the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), the Directorate General of Treasury, and the Directorate General of State Assets.
During the inauguration, Suahasil revealed that this ceremony is a continuation of the promotion and mutation processes that have been carried out previously.
“Today’s inauguration is also a continuation of the filling of primary leadership positions and other officials within the Ministry of Finance that has been taking place over the recent period,” Suahasil stated at the Ministry of Finance Headquarters, Jakarta, on Monday (21/09/2026).
Suahasil noted that the Ministry of Finance has been actively restructuring its ranks recently. The most recent major reshuffle occurred during the era of Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, who inaugurated hundreds of new officials within the Ministry.
“As we know, there have been inaugurations recently; at that time, some were unable to attend, some were unavailable, and over the last few days, there have been proposals for refinements to previous inaugurations and appointments,” she explained.
Suahasil ensured that this process of mutation and promotion is a routine procedure undertaken by the institution to maintain the continuity of organisational quality.
“This is about continuity—continuity of leadership, continuity of all of us maintaining organisational quality, and preparing our institution for the future,” Suahasil said.
Today’s appointments were established under Finance Minister Decree Number 293 of 2026, which amends Finance Minister Decree Number 271 of 2026, as well as Finance Minister Decree Number 218 of 2026 and Finance Minister Decree Number 219 of 2026.
