New subscription rate

Dear subscriber/reader

The subscription rate of The Jakarta Post has remained
unchanged since October 2003. Yet throughout this time, our
production costs have gone up significantly, mostly due to higher
newsprint prices and soaring printing costs due to higher
electricity and fuel prices.

In the meantime, we have added more pages to our newspaper --
we print 24 pages at least twice a week and the frequency will be
increased in coming months -- as part of our endeavor to improve
our services to readers.
With these thoughts in mind, we regretfully have to
adjust our prices, beginning Sept. 1, 2005, as follows:
-Monthly subscription rate: Rp 90,000
-Single copy : Rp 5,000 (unchanged)

These prices are applicable for Greater Jakarta only. The cost
of delivery will be added for readers outside Jakarta.

We thank you for your understanding and continued patronage.
