The Student Admission System (SPMB), officially known as the New Student Admission (PPDB) for DKI Jakarta for the 2026/2027 academic year, is now open. The Jakarta Provincial Government continues to refine this system to ensure fair and equitable access to education for all residents of the capital.

Based on the latest information as of June 2026, several adjustments have been made to the requirements, alongside the expansion of the free private school programme through the ‘PPDB Bersama’ scheme. The primary requirements are based on age and domicile, which must be proven with valid residency documents.

The registration process is conducted online through a single-entry portal. The Jakarta Provincial Government has once again partnered with hundreds of private schools under the PPDB Bersama programme. Through this initiative, students accepted into partner private schools will not be charged any enrolment fees or monthly tuition fees until graduation.

The list of participating private schools includes Junior High (SMP), Senior High (SMA), and Vocational High (SMK) levels across the five administrative cities and one regency. Additionally, the Jakarta West Sub-department of Education (Sudin Pendidikan Wilayah 2) has established a Student Admission Selection Service Post at SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta to assist applicants.
