President Prabowo Subianto has issued Government Regulation Number 30 of 2026 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue applicable to the Ministry of Law. One of the key provisions is a new tariff for notaries seeking to transfer their place of practice, particularly to Jakarta. Under the regulation, signed on 2 July 2026 and effective from 1 August 2026, a notary moving their practice to Jakarta will be charged Rp 500 million per person. This highest tariff also applies to notaries moving from Category C regions to Category A regions if the final destination is Jakarta. A move to other Category A regions outside Jakarta incurs a fee of Rp 100 million, or Rp 150 million if relocating from a Category C area. Transfers to Category B and C regions are set at Rp 50 million and Rp 25 million, respectively. The regulation also increases the fee for the appointment of a new notary to Rp 5 million, up from Rp 1.5 million in the previous 2024 regulation. Additionally, senior notaries extending their term of office between the ages of 67 and 70 will be charged Rp 40 million per person per year. Other administrative fees, such as access requests and replacement of ministerial decrees, remain unchanged. All non-tax state revenue under this regulation must be deposited into the state treasury.
