New registration for developers
New registration for developers
JAKARTA (JP): The city administration will apply a new regulation governing the registration of developers and suppliers handling the city-owned projects starting tomorrow.
Harun Al-Rasyid, head of the city's pre-qualification committee, said that the new regulation is in line with the Presidential Instruction No. 16/1994 regarding the guidelines of the regional budget for the 1995/1996 fiscal year.
"With the introduction of the new regulations, membership documents held by registered developers and suppliers are no longer valid," he said, adding that those intending to continue their membership should register again.
Harun reported that so far over 35,000 developers have registered with the city administration.
In line with the new regulation, he said, projects costing between Rp 15 million (US$6,818) and Rp 200 million each will be given to small-scale developers and suppliers. (hhr)
