New Pos Indonesia Management Reports Rp9 Trillion Bookkeeping Adjustment
The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BP BUMN) and Danantara are overseeing a major overhaul of PT Pos Indonesia following a report from its new management regarding a bookkeeping adjustment of Rp9 trillion for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 periods. This adjustment is part of a process to clean up and restore the company’s financial records.
BP BUMN Head and Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria stated that he has met with the new President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, Iskandar Kunaefi, to discuss strategic steps to accelerate the company’s transformation. The focus is on comprehensive improvements, including governance, financial condition, and business model.
“The transformation we are undertaking here is not a half-hearted one. We do not want something artificial or merely polished. This process is to make state-owned enterprises robust for the future,” Dony said in a written statement on Thursday (23/7/2026).
Dony emphasised that the transformation must be serious and address the root problems of the company. In addition to ensuring a comprehensive restructuring process, the overhaul is focused on effective and efficient financial management strategies to reduce the company’s cost burden.
“One of the initiatives emphasised is a thorough review of the revenue structure, cost components, and the implementation of a more precise and sustainable business model through inter-company involvement to accelerate debt reduction,” Dony added.
He stressed that all improvement measures must be oriented towards strengthening the business fundamentals and have measurable targets so that progress can be monitored consistently. “If the core business continues to be negative, it is useless. Every initiative must have a clear target, a completion date, and measurable results. We will only control based on that,” Dony asserted.
Through this comprehensive overhaul, BP BUMN and Danantara hope that PT Pos Indonesia can strengthen its corporate fundamentals, restore its financial health, and enhance its competitiveness to achieve sustainable growth and provide added value for the country.
