New phone lines in East Jakarta
JAKARTA (JP): The East Jakarta office of the state-owned telecommunication company PT Telkom will be marketing 18,641 new telephone lines this month.
Rizal Saat, head of the office, said the marketing will be conducted door-to-door under a program called Kerling '95 (Mobile Marketing).
Under the program, employees of the company will visit potential customers, who will be eligible to fill in application forms for the new telephones without initially paying anything, Rizal said.
The customers will be required to pay the installation costs after the telephone lines are operable, he added. (hhr)
