New Order and Old Order
New Order and Old Order
From Suara Karya
People seem to be unaware of the fact that the New Order uses
the same Constitution as was used by the Old Order. So the same
Constitution is used by two governments which are antagonistic
with each other. What then, really, makes the New Order different
from the Old Order? It is evident that the "spirit of the state
functionaries" mostly determines the process of the state history
within one particular era.
History reveals to us that the Old Order took the path that
was a deviation from the principles of the state guidelines.
While the New Order is maintaining the state guidelines through
better and deeper understanding of Pancasila (state philosophy),
archipelagic concept, national resilience, and Pancasila
democracy, to name a few. In other words the New Order wishes to
consequently and truly implement Pancasila and the 1945
Constitution.
With this in mind, the celebration of the 50th anniversary of
the Indonesia's independence should be made a momentum for
launching a "moral movement", through which the nation will
maintain, and refresh, the spirit of the Aug. 17, 1945,
proclamation.
