New military unit set up

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: A new military district unit has been specially established to oversee Western Lampung, the Antara news agency reported.

The new unit, Kodim 422, will report to the chief of the Lampung Garuda Hitam 43 unit currently headed by Col. Hario Danoe. The unit will be inaugurated by Maj. Gen. Yunus Yosfiah, the chief of the Sriwijaya Military Command, which oversees southern Sumatra, on Oct. 26.

Western Lampung is currently overseen by the North Lampung Military District. (emb)
