New Marina in Benoa Ready to Serve 75 International Yachts

JAKARTA – Bali Gapura Marina has begun operating its first two docks at the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) area in Benoa Port, Bali. The facility increases service capacity to 75 yachts as part of maritime tourism infrastructure development in Indonesia.

The marina, developed by PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva together with PT Marina Development Indonesia, is planned to have five docks. Once construction is fully completed in 2027, marina capacity is targeted to rise to 180 yachts, including superyachts of up to 200 feet.

President Director of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva Faruq Hidayat said the marina’s development focuses on providing modern infrastructure, raising operational standards, and delivering supporting services for marine tourism.

“The development of Bali Gapura Marina is part of the company’s commitment to presenting a world-class marina tourism hub that prioritises service quality, sustainability, and the use of modern technology,” Faruq said in a written statement on Monday (27/7/2026).

President Director of PT Marina Development Indonesia Ulf Backlund said the marina’s development not only provides berthing facilities but also builds a service ecosystem to support the growth of the yachting industry in Indonesia.

One of the facilities now in operation is the self-service Captain’s Self Check-In & Check-Out CIQP system. This allows captains or yacht owners to complete arrival and departure administrative procedures electronically before the vessel berths, speeding up inspections by Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and Port Authorities.

In addition to supplying electricity and clean water at every dock, the marina area is equipped with a welcome station integrating travel services, concierge, tenant lounge, CIQP services, and check-in and check-out facilities for amphibious aircraft (seaplanes).

Going forward, the operator will add various supporting facilities, including a yacht club, a yacht care service centre, retail areas, and lifestyle facilities as part of the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub development.

According to Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, the marina’s development is expected to increase domestic and international yacht visits while driving economic activity in Bali’s tourism, maritime logistics, hospitality, and micro, small and medium enterprise sectors.
