New Marina in Benoa Ready to Serve 75 International Yachts

Bali Gapura Marina has begun operating its first two docks at the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) in Benoa Harbour, Bali. The facility increases service capacity to 75 yachts as part of the development of maritime tourism infrastructure in Indonesia. The marina, developed by PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva and PT Marina Development Indonesia, is planned to have five docks. Once construction is fully completed in 2027, the marina’s capacity is targeted to increase to 180 yachts, including superyachts up to 200 feet in length. Faruq Hidayat, President Director of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, stated that the marina’s development focuses on providing modern infrastructure, improving operational standards, and offering supporting services for maritime tourism. ‘The development of Bali Gapura Marina is part of the company’s commitment to presenting a world-class marina tourism hub that prioritises service quality, sustainability, and the use of modern technology,’ Faruq said in a written statement on Monday. Ulf Backlund, President Director of PT Marina Development Indonesia, said the development not only provides berthing facilities but also builds a service ecosystem to support the growth of the yachting industry in Indonesia. One of the facilities now operational is the Captain’s Self Check-In & Check-Out CIQP service, which allows yacht captains and owners to complete arrival and departure administration electronically before docking, thereby expediting inspections by Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and Port Authorities. In addition to providing electricity and clean water supplies at each dock, the marina area is also equipped with a welcome station that integrates travel services, concierge, a tenant lounge, CIQP services, and seaplane check-in and check-out facilities. Going forward, the management will add various supporting facilities, including a yacht club, a yacht maintenance service centre, retail areas, and lifestyle facilities as part of the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub development. According to Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, the marina’s development is expected to increase visits by domestic and international yachts while boosting economic activity in the tourism, maritime logistics, hospitality, and micro, small, and medium enterprise sectors in Bali.
