New Japanese restaurant

JAKARTA (JP): Hero Group, one of the country's largest retail
businesses, has entered the fast food industry by opening
Yoshinoya restaurant at Citraland Mall in Grogol, West Jakarta.

The restaurant, the grand opening of which was held on July
28, is managed by PT Yoshindo Pakarguna, a joint venture between
Hero Group and Aneka Kimia Raya Group, in cooperation with
Yoshinoya D & C Co. Ltd. of Japan.

The restaurant specializes in popular meals suitable to local
tastes: rice, chicken and beef, said Wiro S. Gunawan, director of
PT Yoshindo.

Besides opening in Citraland Mall, PT Yoshindo also operates
two other outlets in Kelapa Gading in East Jakarta and Pondok
Indah Mall in South Jakarta.

Wiro said that another four outlets will be opened later this
year in Senayan Square, Pasaraya, Pasar Festival and Lippo
Karawaci with combined investment commitments of Rp 4.5 billion
(US$2.04 million). (hhr)
