New Jampidsus to Replace Febrie Adriansyah to be Decided Within 1-2 Days

Jakarta, VIVA – Minister of State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia, Prasetyo Hadi, revealed that the new Jampidsus replacing Febrie Adriansyah will soon be announced through a Presidential Decree (Keppres).

He added that President Prabowo Subianto will shortly sign the Presidential Decree appointing a definitive Jampidsus official.

The proposed name has been submitted by the Attorney General to the President and has now gone through deliberation in accordance with the Final Assessment Team (TPA) mechanism.

“Once again, we convey that last week the Attorney General officially sent a letter to the President concerning the proposed name for the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) position, as the official who previously held the post submitted his resignation,” said Prasetyo Hadi at the Palace Press Room, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, 21 July 2026.

According to Prasetyo, the deliberation process has now entered its final stage. The President is scheduled to sign the Keppres appointing the new Jampidsus soon.

“And at that time we also conveyed that we requested time for the matter to be discussed in accordance with the Final Assessment Team mechanism, and God willing, within one or two days there will be a decision, and the President will sign the Keppres appointing the new official,” he said.

When asked whether the Keppres would also cover a number of other strategic positions within the Attorney General’s Office, including the Deputy Attorney General, Prasetyo was not yet prepared to disclose the details.

“Yes, as we have conveyed, there are indeed several names proposed, but we ask that we discuss it tomorrow after the Keppres is signed, so that it becomes a decision first before we communicate it to the media and the public,” he said.

Prasetyo also said the President has not yet given any special instructions to the definitive Jampidsus candidate. However, he confirmed that a message from the Head of State would be delivered once the official is formally inaugurated.

“A special message from the President to the new Jampidsus? Not yet, not yet. But in due course there will certainly be special messages from him,” he said.

Previously, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin appointed the Deputy Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas), Rudi Margono, as Acting Jampidsus through Attorney General’s Order Number PRINT-76/A/JA/07/2026.
