Jakarta (ANTARA) - Former Head of the Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) Kuntadi has revealed the directives given by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin following his inauguration as the new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).

“In accordance with the Attorney General’s instructions during the inauguration, there are two main points I have underlined: to carry out consolidation, both internally and externally, and to conduct evaluations,” he stated at the Attorney General’s Office Main Building in Jakarta on Friday.

Regarding the evaluation, Kuntadi said he has been asked to review the handling of all cases, including those that have attracted significant public attention and involve substantial sums. “That will be my priority in order to resolve them, including accelerating the process,” he said.

Another message he received was to uphold integrity, objectivity, and transparency.

On Friday, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin officially inaugurated Kuntadi as the new Jampidsus, replacing Febrie Adriansyah. Prior to this appointment, the vacant Jampidsus position was temporarily filled by Rudi Margono as acting official.

Kuntadi has previously held several strategic positions within the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office, including Director of Investigations at Jampidsus, Head of the Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office, Head of the East Java High Prosecutor’s Office, and Head of the Asset Recovery Agency.

One of the prominent cases he handled during his tenure as Director of Investigations at Jampidsus was the corruption case involving tin trading within the Mining Business Permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk for the 2015 to 2022 period, which implicated the husband of celebrity Dewi Sandra, Harvey Moeis.
