Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Several unreleased games have appeared on the internet following an alleged leak from the Indonesia Game Rating System (IGRS). One of them is the latest James Bond game, 007: First Light.

First Light was originally scheduled for release in March but has been delayed until May. Next month, the game will be accessible on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.

VGC reports also mention other leaked games, including Echoes of Aincrad from Bandai Namco. Thousands of developer emails have also been affected by this incident, according to Polygon, on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

For information, IGRS provides age ratings for game players. This system is intended for games developed or published in Indonesia, as well as foreign titles.

Game companies submit content, including relevant excerpts, to ensure accurate ratings. The leak has also exposed excerpts from several games, including key plot points and possibly ending sections.

This issue is disappointing for developers. It is also unwelcome in the gaming industry, given the many previous leaks.

To date, there has been no response from the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) regarding this matter. The scale of the alleged leak remains unknown.

Previously, IGRS was in the spotlight due to ratings listed on Steam. The ratings displayed for several games were inaccurate.

Steam has addressed the issue, stating that a technical bug and miscommunication caused the inaccurate ratings to appear. The platform has removed the IGRS ratings and replaced them with another evaluation system.

“There are still several steps we need to take before we are fully ready to generate and display approved IGRS age ratings to customers in Indonesia,” Steam explained.

“We apologise for any confusion caused by this error.”

The Ministry of Komdigi has also noted irregularities in the Steam ratings. The ministry has assured that it will conduct internal and external investigations to identify the root cause of the problem.
