The Jakarta-Cikampek II Southern Tollway project in Setu, Bekasi Regency, West Java, is nearing completion with construction progressing to 81.65% on Package 2A, which spans 10.50 kilometres of main road from Setu to Sukaragam. Work is focused on finalising two critical points at kilometre 16 and kilometre 13, expected to be completed within days.

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) plans to operationally open the approximately 52-kilometre toll route from Sadang to Jakarta specifically for Class I vehicles during the 2026 Eid holiday return traffic period. This initiative is part of a broader government effort to support the smooth flow of holiday travel.

The Director-General of Highways at the Ministry of Public Works, Roy Rizal, announced that 10 new tollway sections will be operationally opened and made toll-free during the 2026 Eid holidays. These routes, totalling 291.13 kilometres, are distributed as follows: three sections on the Trans-Sumatra route spanning 90.73 kilometres, six sections on Java spanning 148.03 kilometres, and one section in Kalimantan spanning 52.37 kilometres.

The policy is intended to ease congestion and facilitate smooth travel for holiday-makers returning to their hometowns. The toll-free operations will be implemented on a situational basis, typically between 06:00 and 18:00, or at the discretion of police, particularly during the return traffic period.
