New Initiative Launched for Peaceful Utilisation of Nuclear Energy
Beijing (ANTARA) - A new global initiative to promote cooperation in the industrial utilisation of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes was launched at the 3rd International Conference on Nuclear Technology Applications held in Beijing, China.
The initiative, named the “Initiative to Jointly Build an Open, Inclusive, Universally Beneficial and Win-Win International Industrial Ecosystem for Nuclear Technology Applications”, was introduced by the China Isotope and Radiation Association.
The initiative calls on international organisations, industry groups, researchers, and companies to collaborate in the peaceful and inclusive utilisation of nuclear technology, while striving to promote a new type of international cooperation based on mutual respect, equality, justice, and shared development.
The initiative also aims to explore new pathways for global collaboration, maintain a stable, open, and secure industrial ecosystem, exchange experiences in development, address common challenges, and provide innovative solutions for sustainable development and economic recovery.
The 3rd International Conference on Nuclear Technology Applications, held from 21-23 April, was attended by more than 400 representatives from over 20 countries, including China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
