New Government Regulation Sets Tariffs for Citizenship Services, Renunciation of Indonesian Citizenship Costs Rp 5 Million

The government has issued Government Regulation (PP) Number 30 of 2026 concerning the Types and Tariffs for Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable at the Ministry of Law. The regulation establishes new tariffs for various citizenship services, including applications for the renunciation of Indonesian citizenship (WNI) and naturalisation. Based on PP Number 30 of 2026, Indonesian citizens applying to the President for the loss of citizenship at their own request will be charged a tariff of Rp 5 million per application. The government has also set a tariff of Rp 3.5 million for the issuance of a decree regarding the loss of Indonesian citizenship. Meanwhile, an application to regain Indonesian citizenship is subject to a tariff of Rp 1 million per application. The same tariff applies to applications for the issuance of a decree confirming the retention of Indonesian citizenship status. The issuance of a citizenship status certificate is charged a tariff of Rp 500,000 per application.
