Quantum Cyber N.V. has introduced the PHANTOM-950, a long-range unmanned aerial vehicle concept targeted to execute missions up to 950 kilometres, fly at an altitude of 18,000 metres, and carry a maximum payload of 10 kilograms. Lazar said the company aims to develop modular systems that can be used for a variety of missions while leveraging the manufacturing capacity being built in the US. The PHANTOM-950 is designed with a blended-wing configuration, a shape that merges the fuselage and wings with smoother surface transitions. The aircraft is also planned to use a multi-stage propulsion system to support the launch, cruise, and terminal flight phases. NextGen Defense, in a report on Monday, 6 July 2026, described the configuration as a ‘stealth architecture’ intended to reduce the likelihood of radar detection in contested airspace. However, the official Quantum Cyber release does not list radar cross-section figures, radar-absorbent materials, engine inlet design, heat emission characteristics, or radar test results. A blended fuselage and wing shape can indeed aid aerodynamic performance and reduce radar reflections in certain designs. NASA documentation on the history of aircraft design notes that blended wing-body shaping has been used to improve aerodynamic performance while reducing RCS.
