New Feature: Shopping on Lazada Now Available Using BSI Virtual Account
JAKARTA – PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BSI, continues to strengthen its digital services through the launch of new features in the BYOND by BSI application. Most recently, BSI has introduced virtual account (VA) payment functionality using BSI codes on the Lazada e-commerce platform as one of its payment options.
Through this integration, the public can make purchases on Lazada directly using their BSI Virtual Account, making transactions more practical and real-time.
BSI’s Director of Sales and Distribution, Anton Sukarna, stated that strengthening e-commerce channels is part of the company’s strategy to accelerate BYOND as BSI’s primary digital platform.
According to him, the growing halal lifestyle trend amongst younger generations has created an opportunity for Islamic banks to offer relevant and easily accessible services.
“Strengthening the e-commerce sector is our step to accelerate BYOND. Especially now that halal lifestyle has become a trend amongst young people. This is where BSI’s role comes in through easy-to-access and 24-hour real-time services,” Anton said in an official statement on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
BSI views this trend as a strong signal that integrating Islamic banking services with the digital ecosystem is increasingly necessary. Consequently, collaboration with e-commerce platforms is positioned as part of strengthening an inclusive, secure, and efficient digital financial ecosystem.
Anton added that the company is leveraging the Ramadan period to encourage increased digital transactions by strengthening the Islamic ecosystem on the BYOND platform. BSI targets Islamic transactions to become increasingly part of the lifestyle across all customer segments.
As part of this strategy, BSI is offering special promotional programmes for Virtual Account users on Lazada. Customers will receive a direct discount of 10 per cent with a maximum of Rp50,000 for transactions during the period 15-28 February 2026.
