New fashion program at 'RCTI'

JAKARTA (JP): Private television station RCTI will air a new half-hour fashion program called Kaya Gaya starting Saturday (April 5) from 8 a.m.

The program, hosted by model Kintan Kumari, will discuss practical fashion and beauty tips. The history of fashion will also be covered, said model Ratih Sanggarwati at a press meeting at the Jakarta Design Center yesterday.

"People may think that looking chick and fashionable requires a lot of money. That is not so true. The key to being beautiful is adequate information on fashion know-how," Ratih explained.

The program, directed by Muara Bagja, is jointly produced by Expose Model Agency and Iguana Imaji Media, Ratih said. In the first episode, Kintan will discuss color, the psychology and history of color.

Kaya Gaya will be promoted in five cities, Pekan Baru, Jambi, Padang, Manado and Ujung Pandang. (raw)
