JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) has revealed new allegations in the case of the acid attack on KontraS Deputy Coordinator, Andrie Yunus. The number of perpetrators is said to be not only four people, but possibly more. YLBHI Advocacy Staff and TAUD member, Afif Abdul Qoyum, stated that this finding is based on an independent investigation conducted with KontraS. According to Afif, CCTV footage shows two people acting as the executors of the acid attack on Jalan Salemba I, near Talang Bridge, Senen. One perpetrator threw the acid, while the other rode the motorbike. The incident occurred at 23:37 WIB on Thursday (12/3/2026). After the incident, the motorbike used by the perpetrators was seen swerving as they fled. “The perpetrator appeared to tilt to the left and it was like dropping a cup. Swerving. That is our analysis of OTK 1 and OTK 2 after the acid attack, the motorbike swerved and also threw the cup,” explained Afif. “Based on the CCTV that we have also submitted to the police, (the surveillance) started at 20:49 WIB,” said Afif. “So not after the YLBHI event ended, but rather several hours before that event began,” he explained. From the CCTV footage, initially two people were at the surveillance location across from the YLBHI office, near the Metropole area. Shortly after, two others joined. “Then OTK 3 and OTK 4 joined OTK 1 and OTK 2 at the surveillance point across from the YLBHI office at 20:51 WIB,” said Afif. Subsequently, another person arrived around 20:54 WIB before leaving the location.
