New details of Xiaomi's Liquid Glass design in HyperOS 4 revealed

Xiaomi is preparing its new operating system, HyperOS 4, and the latest leak has revealed fresh details about the Liquid Glass design being readied for this system. Quoting a XimiTime report, the new leak comes from technology tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS). DCS disclosed that the new system uses a novel light field interaction design and supports features such as AI adaptive colour selection and glass-like visual materials. Based on the leak, there is a possibility that Xiaomi may not be redesigning HyperOS from scratch. Instead, the company appears to be refining the current interface with greater depth, transparency, lighting effects, colour adaptation, and finer visual details. This feature was actually added to the standard Android operating system when Google released Android 12 in 2021. Current reports indicate that Xiaomi HyperOS 4 may be introduced around July or August, with beta testing expected ahead of a stable launch. The two series potentially set to be the first to receive this operating system are the Xiaomi 17 series and the Xiaomi Redmi K90 series.
