New cruise ship for Bali

JAKARTA (JP): Bali Hai II, an Australian cruise ship, set sail from Fremantle on Saturday and will reach Bali on Thursday.

A representative from Austal Ships, the Australian company, told The Jakarta Post that the 322-passenger capacity vessel will be the second ship that the company operates twice daily from Bali's Benoa Harbor to the neighboring island of Lembongan.

The new ship is scheduled to start cruising in May to replace the older vessel, which will return to Fremantle for refurbishment.

Bali Hai II has an overall length of 35.7 meters, beam of 10.5 meters and draft of 3.5 meters. (04)
