New Collaboration Between IKN and Investors: Rp1.27 Trillion PKS Agreements Signed - RADAR MEDIA
NUSANTARA – The Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) Authority and three new investors officially signed Cooperation Agreements (PKS) worth Rp1.275 trillion at the IKN Authority office on Monday (16/3/2026).
The signing of the three PKS covers the development of housing and various supporting facilities for the area’s activities, such as apartments, offices, restaurants, cafes, and a sports centre.
The three investors are PT Hauptstadt Indonesia Borneo, PT Starbright International Investment, and PT Oceans Resto Nusantara.
The Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, expressed appreciation for the trust shown by business actors who continue to demonstrate commitment to investing and contributing to the development of the urban ecosystem in the Ibu Kota Nusantara.
“I thank you all for the trust in building investments in IKN. We convey that here we still need the hospitality sector, including logistics or restaurants. Especially with the SMA Taruna Nusantara set to operate this year. If you look, the judicial and legislative areas are also starting to be built. So this will become our crowd through the urban ecosystem that will grow until 2028,” explained Basuki.
The IKN Authority continues to provide support for ease of doing business and accelerating licensing processes for business actors investing in the Nusantara area. Basuki assessed that the current moment is the right time for business actors to explore various business opportunities in the Ibu Kota Nusantara.
“We will support whatever is needed. No need to worry about the licensing process, especially building permits. Insya Allah, we will support it, including providing accelerated licensing processes for you all who are investing here (IKN). This is the best time to invest in Nusantara,” he added.
One of the business actors who signed the PKS is PT Starbright International Investment. The company affiliated with Zhongda Jiancheng Engineering Management Group Co., Ltd. will develop suite apartments, restaurants, retail, and office areas scheduled to begin construction in the second quarter of 2027.
In addition, PT Hauptstadt Indonesia Borneo will build a cafe styled like an aeroplane with a lounge and mini sports concept. The construction of this facility is planned to start in the third quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, PT Oceans Resto Nusantara, as one of Balikpapan’s leading seafood restaurants, will begin planning the construction of a restaurant in the second quarter of 2026.
The collaboration also received appreciation from the President Director of PT Starbright International Investment, Lu Keming. He expressed his confidence in the investment prospects and development of the area in the Ibu Kota Nusantara.
“As the founding President of the Hainan Chamber of Commerce, we will actively promote investment projects in the Ibu Kota Nusantara to attract more investors and start businesses here. We are grateful and honoured to have the opportunity to invest in the Ibu Kota Nusantara. We are optimistic that the Ibu Kota Nusantara will become the most beautiful city in the world,” he said.
In addition to the investment PKS, the OIKN also signed addendum cooperation agreements with PT Balikpapan Ready Mix and PT Citadel Group Indonesia as a follow-up to the Constitutional Court Decision Number 185/PUU-XXII/2024.
