New chief of military staff

JAKARTA: Jakarta Military Command inaugurated on Monday new
chief of staff Brig. Gen. Mohammad Irianto, formerly the military
command's chief of garrison staff.

Irianto replaces Maj. Gen. George Toisutta who currently heads
the Indonesian Military's (TNI) operational command in Nanggroe
Aceh Darussalam province.

Monday's ceremony was officiated by Jakarta Military Commander
Maj. Gen. Djoko Santoso.

Irianto's former position will be filled by Col. Prijanto, the
Army's detachment commander. -- Antara
