New chief at Air Force academy
YOGYAKARTA (JP): Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Sutria
Tubagus installed yesterday Rear Marshal Cheppy Hakim as governor
of the Air Force's Academy.
Cheppy, from the academy's class of 1971, replaced Rear
Marshal Gandhy Natasupadma who has been appointed to represent
the Armed Forces faction at the House of Representatives.
Born in Yogyakarta in 1947, Cheppy's previous posts include
a chief of Squadron 31 in Jakarta, chief of the academy's Flyer
Cadets, chief of Sulaiman Air Base in Bandung, and operation and
training director of the Air Force's Headquarters in Jakarta.
He attended the Aircraft Development Course in Cranefield
Institute of Technology, England, and the Observers Training
Course in the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. (23/10)
