The case of a resident of Pancoran Mas, Depok, West Java, who was terrorised by a neighbour has entered a new chapter. Police have stepped in to investigate the case.

The victim of the neighbour’s terror is Azis Suraji. As a result of the neighbour’s actions, Azis’s family decided to sell their house.

The terror by the neighbour went viral on social media. From circulating CCTV footage, a man can be seen throwing a helmet at the neighbour’s house belonging to Azis’s family. Before throwing the helmet, the man was seen loitering on a motorcycle in front of the victim’s house gate.

On a different day, the same man was seen dumping rubbish at the victim’s house. Several residents tried to intervene in the man’s actions, but a commotion ensued.

Suraji’s daughter, Novita (29), recounted that her neighbour frequently caused trouble in front of her house. Novita said her house fence was damaged when the neighbour kicked it on Wednesday (15/7).

“That (the fence damage) was just on the 15th recently. That’s new. (Using his) foot, he kicked it,” Novita said when met at her home on Friday (17/7).

Novita claimed her family was also once terrorised by the neighbour, who brought a golok during the last Eid celebration. Novita explained that her family is also verbally harassed almost every day.

“Even during Eid, he once brought a golok to us. The family was gathered at home, and he brought a golok. There are many living witnesses, my family members are still alive. Unfortunately, there was no CCTV yet,” Novita stated.

“As for verbal abuse, it happens almost every day,” she added.

Police are investigating the alleged case of property damage against a resident terrorised by a neighbour in Pancoran Mas, Depok City, West Java. Police revealed the trigger for the neighbour’s terror against the resident.

Currently, police have checked the crime scene. Five witnesses have been examined by the police in connection with the case.
