JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Shell Indonesia has officially announced a new leader to head its operations in the country. Andri Pratiwa has been appointed as the new President Director and Country Chair of Shell Indonesia, effective from 1 May 2026.

This appointment comes during a critical period for the company as it undergoes business transformation. In addition to serving as the top executive in Indonesia, Andri will retain his previous position as General Manager of Lubricants Indonesia.

At the same time, the Dutch energy giant is finalising the transfer of its petrol station business in Indonesia to a joint venture between Citadel Pacific Limited and Sefas Group.

In his statement, Andri emphasised optimism regarding national economic growth opportunities. He assured that the company’s investment commitments would not waver, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

“Shell Indonesia is entering a new phase with various opportunities, and I am grateful for the trust given to me to lead the company in its growth efforts while continuing to make positive contributions to Indonesia’s economy,” said Andri in his official statement.

Andri replaces Ingrid Siburian, who will end her tenure as Country Chair. Although stepping down from the top position, Ingrid will retain a vital role in the company’s structure.

Ingrid will continue as General Manager of Mobility. Her primary tasks now are to ensure the continuity of business operations and to oversee a smooth leadership transition without disruptions.

In recent months, Shell Indonesia has faced fuel shortages. Shell petrol stations remain operational but are limited to vehicle servicing and other services. With the new company taking over, it is hoped that consumers can once again access Shell fuel options.
