Network formed for college students

SEMARANG: Ten prominent state and private universities are sharing their resources and increasing their links to help improve education for college students in Indonesia.

Diponegoro University (Undip) rector Eko Budihardjo said on Sunday the program would give all university students throughout the country access to reference books in other universities' libraries and allow them to seek guidance on writing their theses from lecturers at other universities,

The program was supported by the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Education, UNESCO, the Netherlands Education Center, Eko said.

Undip, the University of Indonesia, the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gadjah Mada University, the University of Hasanuddin, the University of Andalas, the Surabaya Institute of Technology (ITS), Parahyangan University, Merdeka University and the Bina Nusantara University had joined the program, he said. --Antara
