Netflix Announces 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' to Embark on World Tour

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The virtual girl group Huntr/x from Netflix’s popular animation ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ is preparing for its world tour.

This was announced officially through the official Instagram account @kpopdemonhuntersnetflix on Thursday (14/5).

“Netflix and AEG will work together to develop and produce an official global concert tour inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters!” they said in a post.

According to Soompi on Wednesday (13/5), some details have been revealed about the upcoming world tour, which is described as a live experience that will bring the elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life in a spectacular way.

Further information about the tour, including cities, dates, and ticket sales details, will be announced later this year.

The animation ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ tells the story of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey as they balance their work as members of the popular idol group Huntr/x in South Korea with their mission to eliminate demons who want to devour human souls while maintaining the Honmoon seal.

Their journey of self-discovery, commitment to teamwork, and adventures will become even more exciting after the emergence of a male idol group called Saja Boys, who are actually demons disguised on the orders of their boss from hell.

Previously, the film had also won various awards, including the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film, Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globe Awards in January, and last month became the first work in the K-pop genre to receive the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammy Awards.
