Netanyahu's Likud Electability Drops to Lowest Level Since 2025

Istanbul (ANTARA) - A published poll, released on Friday, found that support for the Likud Party, led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has dropped to 19 seats, the lowest level since May 2025, approximately six weeks before the general election on 27 October.

The Maariv newspaper, which published the poll, described the result as a “historic collapse” for Netanyahu’s party.

The poll was conducted by Lazar Research, led by Menachem Lazar, in collaboration with the research platform Panel4All.

The survey was carried out on 9-10 September among 4,329 respondents, with a margin of error of 4 percentage points.

According to the survey results, Likud would secure 19 seats if elections were held now, a decrease from the 21 seats recorded in a poll conducted on Monday.

Maariv stated that this result represents the weakest performance for the Likud Party since 29 May 2025.

In contrast, the Yisrael Beiteinu party, led by former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, remains the largest party in the survey with 25 seats, unchanged from Monday’s survey.

These results emerge three days after Israeli parties submitted their candidate lists for the Knesset general election.

In terms of political bloc gains, parties within the current governing coalition would secure 50 seats, while opposition parties would obtain 58 seats. Arab parties would hold the remaining 12 seats.

A minimum of 61 seats is required to form a government in the 120-seat Knesset.
