Netanyahu Warns Iran Against Attacking Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that retaliatory strikes against Iran will be ‘far more devastating’ if Israel is attacked first. Netanyahu pledged to deliver a ‘decisive blow’ against Tehran.

‘I will say this to the leaders of Iran: Do not expect calm to prevail if you attack us,’ Netanyahu said while attending a conference in Dimona, Israel, as reported by AFP on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

Dimona, located in southern Israel, is the site of a facility officially designated for nuclear research, but widely believed to house Israel’s never publicly acknowledged nuclear arsenal.

‘The era when someone attacks us and we do not retaliate with a decisive blow is over,’ Netanyahu stressed in his statement, according to a video released by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office.

Netanyahu warned that Israel’s attack would be far more devastating than the previous strike carried out earlier this year alongside its main ally, the United States.

‘Do not expect a repeat,’ he said, referring to Israel’s previous attack on Iran.

‘Because this will not be merely a repeat, even though the previous one was quite devastating. This time the situation will be different, and the impact will be far more devastating,’ the Israeli PM stressed.

‘We have done this to the Axis of Evil in Iran, and we will continue to do so to anyone who endangers us. That is what we do,’ he asserted.

Netanyahu’s threat was issued as the US and Iran resumed exchanging attacks, and after US President Donald Trump announced the reimposition of a naval blockade on Iranian ports.

The latest US strike on Tuesday (14/7) also hit the Iranian port city of Bushehr, home to Tehran’s only civilian nuclear power plant.

In retaliation, Iran launched a wave of missile strikes targeting several Gulf states hosting US military assets.
