Nestle acquires noodle firm

JAKARTA (JP): Nestle S.A. of Switzerland has acquired a 80 percent stake in PT Supmi Sakti, a producer of instant noodles under the brands Supmi and Doremi.

Nestle, which currently operates four factories in Indonesia, did not disclose the terms of transaction.

It announced that the deal, which was signed last week, is subject to approval by the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board. (rid)
